For Dismissed Students Fall 2005 - read this entire page carefully
The dismissal period is for a minimum of one academic year.
Log
on to MyUH immediately to verify that your Fall 2005 registration has been
purged (erased). If not, drop all of your courses online. This will make
you eligible for a 100% tuition refund. If you encounter problems
withdrawing online, contact the registrar (Records Office): 808.956.8010.
If
you wish to return to UHM after your dismissal period, you must apply for
readmission. A statement of intent must be included with your
application. Applications
can be picked up at the Admissions Office in QLCSS room 1, or completed online
at www.hawaii.edu/admrec.
Note that readmission after dismissal is rarely approved.
Summer
Session 2005:
If you are registered in summer courses, contact Outreach College immediately to cancel your registration: Krauss Hall 101 M-F 8am to 5:30pm; 808.956.5666. This will make you eligible for a full tuition refund. Note: You will not be able to withdraw yourself online.
Note: You are eligible for a full refund of SS I tuition only if your withdrawal is done within 5 working days of receiving your dismissal letter. If necessary, take your letter and postmarked envelope with you to the Outreach College office.
You
are dismissed from the UHM
campus only.
This
means that you can attend a community college or another institution if you wish, but
this could endanger your readmission to Mānoa.
Read the following carefully!
If you enroll elsewhere and plan to apply for readmission to UHM in the future, you must earn a cumulative GPA of 2.0 (C average)* for all courses taken after Spring 2005. If your GPA does not meet 2.0 you will be denied readmission to UHM. *The 2.0 minimum is for residents; if you are a non-resident, your GPA must meet a 2.5 minimum.
For ALL Students on Probation:
You will remain on probation until your cumulative GPA is raised to 2.0 or higher.
You must earn a current GPA of 2.0
or higher in each probationary semester.
While on probation, if you do not earn a current semester GPA of at
least 2.0, you will be subject to
suspension.
Going through the Online SUCCESS Workshop and completing the quiz will ensure that you understand UHM academic policy.
For First Year Students on probation:
You are considered a First Year Student if
you have less than 24 credits attempted at the UH-Mānoa campus.
First
Year Students typically include freshmen, transfer and part-time students.
Going through the ONLINE SUCCESS WORKSHOP ensures that you:
1) understand university
policy on academic actions (probation, suspension, dismissal),
2) are made aware of strategies and skills to enable successful
completion of
your college
degree, and
3) understand the value of your liberal arts education.
