Congratulations, it's your final year!

If this is your final semester, you should have already completed a GRAD Session and paid your $30 diploma fee.  Don't forget to check whether you have been following the graduation plan that you developed in your GRAD Session, and should you have any questions, make an appointment to meet with an Arts &Sciences advisor.

Celebrate the occasion and register to participate in the commencement ceremony. The commencement website will include directions for registering for commencement, and purchasing your cap and gown and graduation announcements.

If you have not already done so, visit  Career Development & Student Employment (QLC 212, 956.8136) for assistance in your job search, resume and cover letter preparation, and interviewing skills. For a nominal fee, Career Services will open a Credential File for you, keeping your letters of reference on file.  Copies of your letters of reference will be sent at your request to potential employers, graduate schools and other programs.

The awarding of your degree and the generation of your diploma does not occur right after the commencement ceremony.  If you need written verification prior to this, complete out a Request for Written Verification Form and turn it in at the service counter in QLC 113. You will need to provide either a pre-addressed stamped envelope or provide mailing labels and postage for each letter. Letters are generally available within 3 to 5 working days.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

If so some reason you are unable to complete your degree as originally scheduled, you need to make an appointment with an Arts & Sciences advisor to revise your graduation plan and complete a revised degree application.  You will not be able to register without doing this.   Please note:  that if you are meeting your degree requirements in the semester that you applied for, and do not contact our office regarding your options, you may need to reapply to the university and are subject to the requirements in place when you are readmitted.
