*Pre-nursing, pre-business, pre-education and pre-social work students must
complete a number of requirements prior to applying to the respective
schools. They will be classified as Arts & Sciences students and will take necessary courses to prepare for application.


Pre-law, pre-medicine, pre-pharmacy, pre-dentistry, etc. are not actual majors at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. Students can elect to design their own major and earn a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in these fields. Otherwise, they must select a major and take coursework to prepare for their professional schools.
