Incoming Students

Freshmen checklist:
Apply to the University of Hawaii. Send in any AP credits, summer school or college level coursework.
Once you are accepted, sign your Statement of Intent to Register form and submit your Partial Advance Tuition Payment to finalize your acceptance.
Obtain health clearance.
Think of joining a learning community.
Register for and take English Placement test (Unless you have AP credit for it.)
Register and take any other placement exams necessary
Foreign Language
Math
Chemistry
Work out payment for college
Figure out housing.
Attend New Student Orientation to familiarize yourself with requirements, the campus and other students.
Visit the First Year Advising Center for assistance with scheduling, registration and general education and core requirements.

Transfer student checklist:

Apply to the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. Be sure to send any transfer work (including AP credits, summer school, etc.)
Once you are accepted, sign your Statement of Intent to Register form and submit your Partial Advance Tuition Payment to finalize your acceptance and start your course evaluation
Obtain health clearance.
Register for and take English Placement test, if necessary

Non-system transfers: If your previous schools do not have websites with course information accessible, consider bringing catalogs & course syllabi with you in case you decide to have courses re-evaluated later.
